Vita

Christopher Almeling has been Professor of Accounting and Auditing at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt since October 2010. After studying business administration at the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, he completed his doctorate there on the subject of “Die Auswirkungen der Unternehmenspublizität auf den Kapitalmarkt”. He then worked as an auditor at the auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was responsible in particular for providing specialist support to auditors on issues relating to the assignment of tasks, the audit procedure and reporting, as well as on issues relating to the performance of audits of specific financial information in the context of securities prospectuses (profit forecasts, pro-forma financial information, combined and carve-out financial statements).

Prof. Almeling is married and has two children
