AI specialist Andrew Sheehy travelled to the W:NE research seminar for the lecture on June 13th. Under the lecture title “What AI systems can, cannot, should and should not do?” a comprehensible introduction into the functioning of “Machine Learning” was offered, in order to explain the distinction between artificial and human intelligence and to point out common misunderstandings. The lecture was followed by a lively discussion from the limits of technical feasibility to philosophical considerations about the nature of human thought.
